The reason why IU will not release another song like Good Day?

Post:

Saw some posts saying it'd be great if IU were to release another song like Good Day or You and I.
But did you know that IU has actually spoken up about this topic before?

She did so in Palette's MV.
All of you know that Palette is about IU's honest thoughts since turning 25?
In Palette, the following scene and lyrics appear
"I prefer purple to hot pink."
In this scene, amongst all the pink bottles, you can see that IU picked the purple one?
In this scene, you can see that hot pink represents Good Day, and purple represents Chatshire.

In the next scene,
there is only 1 purple piece of paper to be torn, and the rest are pink.
And on the paper, there's a pair of scary-looking eyes watching.
As if it's pressuring you to pick the pink papers.
But IU confidently chooses the purple one.
This could mean that even if there is a particular image the public wants from IU,
IU wants to confidently do the music she wants to (Chatshire's representative color - purple).
And you can also analyse it as even if the people who like it are not many, she will walk the path she wants to.
There's also a similar one in the 2nd verse.

"Rather than long hair

I definitely like short hair."

If you look at the scene during this line,
In the long hair part, long hair + pink = her look in Good Day
Short hair + yellow clothes = her look in Flower Bookmark (the music IU wants to do)

In this way, IU is talking about the kind of music she wants to make in the first 2 verses.
Then in the chorus, she talks about how she will acknowledge and accept the people who like and dislike her.
Musically, it can mean that even if you don't get her choice of music, she will accept it, but she will keep doing the music she wants to do.

So, assuming that IU's music style will not change, there will not be another song like Good Day or You and I.
As a person who started liking IU during her Good Day promotions, I can understand the people who miss the IU from those days.
But I think it'd be better if you can know IU's thoughts.
I am one who respects IU's choice, I wanted to share IU's thoughts with everyoneㅎㅎ
There could be people who already knew but I think there were many people who didn't know so I'm writing this post.

Thank you for reading!ㅎㅎ

Comments:
1. [+293, -18] Instead of making public-friendly music, but making the music that one likes public-friendly, how many singers can actually do that
2. [+232, -17] There were producers in Good Day, You and I and Red Shoes, but after the contract ended, IU did the producing so I am looking forward to what kind of music she can come up with. First singer that I like and will support
3. [+149, -13] She's cool
4. [+72, -4] That's right, of all the things IU has said, the one that stuck to me most is the one where she was introducing the Palette album "During my school days, when they asked me to draw something using paint, rather than the paintings themselves I felt that the palette with various paints mixed together was prettier"
5. [+51, -3] IU who made the MV with these thoughts is amazing, but you who has analysed it is also amazing
